DREAM WAVE: Shane Dorian at P-Pass Surfing 8-12 Foot Perfection.
P-Pass is a dream wave in every sense: transparent blue water, glassy perfection and warm inviting seas. When the swell aligned in 2013, I knew it was time to act. Shane Dorian, Mark Mathews and Dan Ross joined me on a journey to the remote island of Pohnpei in Micronesia. What we found was beyond words, 8-12 foot waves breaking with absolute precision. For nearly eight hours, these three fearless friends surfed as if time had stopped, each wave a flawless canvas for their artistry. This image of Shane, in particular, captures everything I love about surf photography: power, grace and the purity of the moment. Every frame from that day reminds me why I chase swells to the far corners of the world.
